PROGRAMMATION

Thursday, March 21 – 6 PM: Round table and intimate concert (Petit-Outremont)

On Thursday, March 21, at 6 pm, the public is invited to an intimate concert featuring the young and talented flutist Nikki Arsenault (finalist of the CBC Radio Canada show Virtuose).

The evening will continue with a round table discussion in collaboration with the University Women’s Club of Montreal and the participants from Les Olympes de la Parole. Following the theme of the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the event will be hosted by the festival’s honorary ambassador, the Honorable Anne-Marie Trahan. With the participation of Sylvie Schirm, Dr. Gaëlle Vekemans and Valérie Gauthier, the round table discussion will in particular focus on the development of young girls in stressful environments, the impact of the law, as well as reaffirming the therapeutic effects of music. The event will be followed by a networking reception with the presence of the invited speakers.
